Energy[edit]
Ultra-Low-Current Cable can handle a maximum of 5 EU/t. Any higher and the cable will melt! This cable has a very low distance-related energy loss; on par with Glass Fibre Cables.
Cable type | EU/b | Energy loss |
---|---|---|
Ultra-Low-Current Cable | 0.025 | 1 EU every 40 blocks |
Note that basic solar panels cannot cause the cable to explode, since a maximum of 5 can be connected to a single wire and still generate power (one above and four to the sides. Placing one under will not receive light). Incoming cables are not considered a "source", so a large array of solar panels can still safely be channelled ultimately through a single Ultra-Low-Current Cable.
Uses[edit]
Ultra-Low-Current Cables are ideal for Solar Panels, Water Mills, and Wind Mills which output a current of 1 EU/t or under. Rubber insulation cannot be added to this cable, which means this cable cannot be painted.
