The Extractor is used to extract Rubber from Resin, as well as Coalfuel Cells from H. Coal Cells, Biofuel Cells from Bio Cells, and Hydration Cells from Water Cells.

As with other IndustrialCraft2 machines, there are two ways to provide the Extractor with EU: either a direct Cable connection/contact with a generator or energy storage items will suffice. To remove the Extractor, right-click with a bronze Wrench. Note that there is a 20% chance of destroying the machine when removing it with this method; if destroyed, it will drop a Machine Block instead of itself. With a pickaxe or any other tool, it will have a 100% chance of dropping only a Machine Block. For a 100% chance of successfully retrieving the Extractor, use an Electric Wrench set to Lossless Mode (hold down "M" and right-click with the Electric Wrench in hand).

Function[edit]

The Extractor is able to take 1 sticky resin and produce 3 rubber from it, providing the machine is currently being powered (see Energy below). The Extractor can also extract one rubber from either Rubber Wood or a Rubber Tree Sapling. It extracts two rubber from a Slimeball.

The extractor can convert some cells to fuel cells of the same sort, such as the Bio Cell to the Biofuel Cell and the H. Coal Cell to a Coalfuel Cell. It also converts Water Cells to Hydration Cells.

It is also the most efficient way to extract certain dyes, such as Yellow Dye.

An Extractor can also be used to empty certain Cells such as the Hydrogen Cell, Deuterium Cell and much more usefully the Compressed Air Cell discarding it's contents and returning an empty cell for reuse. It does much the same for (Filled) Tin Cans and can remove dyes from Wool.

Energy[edit]

The Extractor can receive up to 32 EU/t and package, unless it is upgraded with a Transformer Upgrade. If you supply it with any more energy than low voltage (32 EU/p), the Extractor will explode! The extractor consumes 313 EU per operation and requires a minimum of 2 EU/t to operate continuously.
