The Terrain Smasher is a block added by Thermal Expansion. This machine breaks blocks placed in front of it. After breaking the blocks, they are ejected from one of the configured output sides. This machine can also break Obsidian, which makes it handy for early-game recipes. The block has redstone control to configure when it has to be active.

Trivia[edit]
When using redstone control - enabled - low, the Terrain Smasher needs to recieve a low redstone signal while breaking the block as well as ejecting the block into pipes or inventories. If a redstone signal is only turned off for a very short period, the Terrain Smasher will break the block, but not output the block. The same applies for the redstone control - enabled - high, setting.
It is possible to have a Terrain Smasher break a block without outputting it, but it will not break another block before it has actually sent it to an inventory or pipe.
