Holding Track is a Railcraft track typically used to manage traffic on rail lines and prevent collisions. When powered, these rails act just like standard Booster Track, but when unpowered they will grab and hold onto any cart that passes over them. If a cart is on top of the track and it is powered again, the cart will be launched along the direction of travel it arrived at. Boarding Track is very similar to this track and it can be thought of as a directional version of Holding Track. The main difference is that, when powered, Boarding Track will only boost carts in one direction.
Train Holding Track is identical in function to Holding Track except it is designed to hold trains of linked cars instead of a single cart.
