The Critter Snare is an item added by the Witchery mod. It can be used to hold mobs to use for recipes.
Captured mobs can be released by right-clicking while sneaking but you can move the snares with mobs caught in it by just breaking it.
Recipe[edit]
Critter snares are created by mutating Alder Saplings with zombies. To do so, place a cobweb above a Water source block and surround it in the North, South, East, and West directions with the alder saplings, then lure a zombie into the cobweb and use a Mutating Sprig on the cobweb.
