Sorting Leaves is a type of Twilight Forest Leaves found in Sorting Trees in conjunction with Sortingwood and a single Sortingwood Engine. When a Sorting Tree is grown from a Sorting Tree Sapling (an item only found in the Leaf Dungeon), the leaves clump around the Sortingwood in a bush-like tree shape, staying close to the ground and compact.

The leaves appear to be a unique leaf sprite with a non-stationary sprite layered over it that appears to be triangles, possibly functioning as arrows pointing in a specific direction due to this tree's name as a "sorting" tree. As with the other "magic" trees, these leaves' non-stationary sprite that is overlaid over the main sprite appears to be one looping 16x16 image file that continues cycling indefinitely. Sorting Leaves take on a yellowish-green color, the exact shade of which is dependent on the X, Y and Z coordinates of the leaf block itself, as blocks placed in the same location (no matter the seed) will have the same color. This is a trait shared with other similar leaves such as the Leaves of Transformation (i.e. leaves found in "magic" trees.) However, unlike Rainbow Oak Leaves, Sorting Leaves and their companion leaves such as the Leaves of Transformation have a limited color spectrum to choose from.

Sorting Leaves can be harvested in block form with a pair of Shears. When broken normally, Sorting Leaves drop a Jungle Sapling instead of a Sorting Tree Sapling.

Trivia/Known Bugs[edit]

In earlier versions, even if "Fast Graphics" is turned on and leaves are set to be opaque (non-transparent), Sorting Leaves will not comply with this and will still be transparent, possibly causing issues for low-end computers.

Usage[edit]

Sorting Leaves can be used to create the following items:
