Rubber Tree (RedPower 2)
RedPower 2 Rubber Trees are added to world generation by RedPower 2. They can only be found in Jungle biomes.
The only current purpose of Rubber Trees is for their Rubberwood, which differs from IndustrialCraft2's and MineFactory Reloaded's Rubber Wood in that it can be crafted into Sticks (at an 1:8 ratio) and can be smelted into Charcoal. It can still be processed in an Extractor to obtain one piece of Rubber though. And it can be put into a Sawmill to get Jungle Wood Planks and with 33% chance Sticky Resin.
Growing[edit]
Rubber Trees are grown from Rubber Sapling, which their leaves occasionally drop. To grow into an adult Rubber Tree, one sapling must be planted on a 3x3 square of Dirt or Grass. The tree requires sufficient lighting and enough space above and around it, so it is advisable to plant it in an outside clearing or free space.
The growth itself may take between 10 minutes and an hour real-time and cannot be sped up using Bone Meal.
Harvesting[edit]
Harvesting an entire tree will take very long, sometimes even longer than a full Minecraft day. However, it will yield about a dozen stacks of wood. It is advisable to start from the top, utilizing a Sickle to get past the leaves.
