The Obsidian Factory is a machine added by RotaryCraft. The Obsidian Factory uses 1 bucket of Water and Lava to create 1 Obsidian. The Obsidian Factory holds 320 of each fluid and creates a piece of Obsidian every 8 seconds. It has an internal storage of 9 stacks or 576 for the Obsidian to collect into. Water and Lava can be piped in on any side or manually injected by right-clicking with a bucket of the corresponding fluid.

RotaryCraft Handbook Description[edit]

The obsidian factory will mix piped-in water and lava to produce obsidian. Be careful; if the machine is left full of only lava too long, it will start to overheat and will eventually melt.

Set-up[edit]

Whilst almost any engine can power the Obsidian Factory, many will waste created power. A simple way to power it without wasting power is to use 2 Steam Engines ran into a Shaft Junction. Then the Shaft power can be ran into any 4:1 Gearbox set to Speed Mode using a Screwdriver. Lastly Bevel Gears are required to transfer the power upwards into the Obsidian Factory.
