The Industrial Coil acts as a power storage device for RotaryCraft.
RotaryCraft Handbook Description[edit]
The industrial coil stores energy in a large spring that can be unwound on command with redstone. Since its output torque and speed can be chosen nearly at will it can be used to store energy for later or as a sort of capacitor, to store energy accumulated over a tong time and then release it in one powerful burst. Note that each coil type has a maximum capacity, and that exceeding it will result in an extremely violent release of all stored energy. This machine cannot simultaneously charge and release power; any power input white discharging is wasted. As the coil charges, the torque and power required to do so rises.
Recipe[edit]
Steel Coil
Bedrock Coil
Limits[edit]
The steel coil is limited to 720MJ of stored energy. It can output at a maximum of 1024 rad/s and 1024Nm (1MW).
The bedrock coil is limited to 240TJ of stored energy and can output at a maximum of 4096 rad/s and 4096Nm (16MW).
Warning: These coils will explode when overloaded.
Redstone Usage[edit]
The coil will be able to charge while not receiving a redstone signal, and will output its charge when it is receiving a redstone signal.
Usage[edit]
Industrial Coil has no known uses in crafting.
