Mercury Cells are one of the cell types in GregTech 4.
Production[edit]
Mercury cells can be obtained from electrolyzing Cinnabar Dust, combining an Empty Cell with Quicksilver, or as a rare product of grinding some of the dusts in an Industrial Centrifuge.
Uses[edit]
One of the uses of mercury cells is as an alternative to water in an Industrial Grinder. Depending on the recipe, this increases the yield of the main product to three items instead of two, or gives one full dust pile of a side product instead of one or two tiny piles. It also makes grinding Netherrack produce more gold nuggets (one per 8 Netherrack, the normal recipe needs 16). One of its more important uses is quadrupling the platinum dust output of Ferrous Ore.
Mercury cells can also be used to craft Single-Use Batteries, and as fuel in the Magic Energy Converter for 8000 EU per cell.
