Wood encased Shelf is a block added by the GregTech 4 mod. It can be used as a decorative item storage.
Initially, the Wood encased Shelf is empty. It can be right-clicked with any stack of items, putting the stack into the Wood encased Shelf. However, items cannot be put inside if the Wood encased Shelf already contains some, meaning that it can only store 1 stack of items. Wood encased Shelf with items inside can be right-clicked with empty hand to pull all items from it. It can also be left-clicked to pull a single item from it.
Unlike most other decorative item storages added by GregTech 4, the Wood encased Shelf can only store specific items. Out of all Minecraft, IndustrialCraft2 and GregTech 4 items, it can only store following ones:
The Wood encased Shelf shows up type of item inside (or, more precisely, shows if it is a paper-type item, a book-type item or if there are no items inside) in its texture.
