Item Detector is an item added by the GregTech 5 mod. It can be right-clicked with on any side of the machine except the front side. This side will then emit redstone signal based on the current mode. The strength of the signal is calculated as quotient of item storage to maximal storage multiplied by 16 and rounded to the nearest integer. The cover can be removed with a Crowbar.

Cover Modes[edit]

Cover modes can be changed by right-clicking this cover with Screwdriver or Electric Screwdriver. Right-clicking will set the cover in the next mode (below the current one in the list), pressing Shift while right-clicking will set the cover to the previous mode (above the current one in the list).

  • Normal - the default mode, functions as it is written above.
  • Inverted - similar to the previous one, but inverted.
  • Slot X - will only emit signal based on the current contents of this particular slot. X can cycle through all slots of the machine which are able to hold items including battery slots and unused slots.
