Talk:List of Aspects (Thaumcraft 4.1)

From ATLauncher Wiki

This page is not longer very useful. Someone really screwed it up. The primary focus of those who did the screwing was to remove the "Items Containing" section. This page was obviously edited by someone who thinks this is "cheating". Leave it alone. I have half a mind to undo every change past October 19th.

You may be looking for the version for Thaumcraft 3. It's not the case that "Items Containing" has been deleted, it's that so much has changed with Thaumcraft 4 that the old list was no longer valid, and a new list has not yet been compiled. Feel free to add which items contain which aspects in Thaumcraft 4 as you discover them. --timrem (talk) 17:03, 10 December 2013 (CET)
DEFINITELY what he said, PLEASE feel free to add which items contain which aspects in Thaumcraft 4 as you discover them. User Page. ƒelinoel_Contributions 04:49, 11 December 2013 (CET)

I found another page that is almost the same as this one. It is called Aspects of magic. There is also one that is called Aspects of Magic which is very different. By the way, I remember how this page was before, since I added LOTS of info to it. I didn't change it back because I've also heard that the new version of Thaumcraft was completely different than Thaumcraft 3 (the one I have). My username is JonathanHopeThisIsUnique (I forgot how to do the timestamp thing.)

If you see something wrong, fix it. ƒelinoel ~ (Talk) 03:37, 24 December 2013 (CET)
The old Thaumcraft 3 version can still be found at List of Aspects/TC3. Aspects of Magic and Aspects of magic redirect here... --dgelessus (talk · contribs) 14:09, 24 December 2013 (CET)
Those pages link here now, they didn't before. User Page. ƒelinoel_Contributions 21:56, 24 December 2013 (CET)

Granum Recipe[edit]

As far as Monster v 1.6.4 is concerned, the correct recipe for Granum is Victus + Ordo, not Victus + Terra.

Pronunciation?[edit]

Why is this page using a laughable, distilled version of the IPA instead of the actual phonological alphabet used for correct pronunciation? 72.48.245.90 01:00, 25 June 2014 (CEST)

Which words in particular are showing pronunciation? I don't seem to see any on this page. That said, on the one hand we don't have many phonologists here to know the correct glyphs - on the other hand, the target audience here is younger and doesn't usually want to look up a non-intuitive glyph-set rather than just read an easily understandable pronunciation in-line. Just my two cents --Kahless61 (talk) 01:19, 25 June 2014 (CEST)
Because someone added them, about six hours ago. I agree that they weren't a benefit to the page, so the changes have been reverted. --timrem (talk) 02:31, 25 June 2014 (CEST)
I added them, and I didn't use IPA because almost no layman is aware of how to read it. And because Minecraft in general has a player base of mainly children and teenagers, it is unlikely that anyone playing FTB will be able to read IPA pronunciation. I added them because many people are unaware of how the aspects are pronounced, as they follow Latin pronunciation rules that often differ greatly from English. I will be reverting back the undo; if anyone is so inclined, they can replace them with IPA pronunciation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.57.82.116 (talk · contribs)

Versioning[edit]

I guess it's time to move this page and mark that the research here is valid for Thaumcraft 4.1.x for MC 1.6.4, as Thaumcraft 4.2 has slightly different research reqs. Objections?

Gee, Azanor sure likes to change the aspects around. Should we name this "List of Aspects (Thaumcraft 4.1)" then? (No, we're *not* going to call it "List of Aspects/TC4.1".) --dgelessus (talk · contribs) 17:15, 22 September 2014 (CEST)
