Mark of the Falling Tower is a Blood Magic Ritual which summons a meteor of ore.

Recipe[edit]

Building a Mark of the Falling Tower requires 100 Ritual Stones: 32 air, 16 water, 20 fire, 20 earth and 12 dusk. Activating it requires 1,000,000 LP and an Awakened Activation Crystal to activate.

Usage[edit]

Once activated the Mark of the Falling Tower requires a reagent to complete: Stone, Block of Iron, Diamond or Nether Star. Drop one of these onto the Master Ritual Stone.

The Stone reagent will give very low level ores, such as Coal Ore.

The Block of Iron reagent will give medium level ores such as Iron Ore and Tin Ore.

The Diamond reagent will give rarer ores, including Diamond Ore and Emerald Ore, and if Thaumcraft is installed, Amber Bearing Stone and Cinnabar Ore.

The Nether Star will give all but the rarest ores, such as Diamond Ore, Emerald Ore, and if other mods are installed, Certus Quartz Ore or the ores from Ars Magica, like the Moonstone Ore.

Shortly after the ritual is completed, a meteor entity will be created directly above the Master Ritual Stone. It will fall directly down and upon contact with any block or entity, cause an explosion of power proportional to its' size, and replace air blocks around with ores and filler blocks (stone by default). As the actual entity itself is only one block wide, a single block far above the ritual will be enough to protect the ground from the blast.

The size of the meteor is determined by the reagent dropped on the Master Ritual Stone. The lower the tier of ores spawned, the bigger the actual meteor.

Reagents[edit]

The effect of the Ritual can be modified by feeding Reagents into the Master Ritual Stone. The following effects are available:

Reagent Effect
Terrae Meteor radius +1, filler weight increased
Orbis Terrae Meteor radius +2, filler weight increased further than Terrae
Crystallos Ice is used as a filler block
Incendium Netherrack, Glowstone and Soul Sand are used as a filler block
Tenebrae Obsidian is used as a filler block

Terrae and Orbis Terrae do not stack, Orbis Terrae will be prioritized. While they increase the amount of filler compared to ores, the radius increases still improve the ore yield per ritual.

Crystallos, Incendium and Tenebrae stack, the result is chosen randomly per filler block.

In Blood Magic 2 (Post-Minecraft 1.9)[edit]

Iron Block: Costs the default 1 million LP. Summons a medium meteor with lower-tier resources: Stone, Iron Ore, Lapis Lazuli Ore, Redstone Ore, and Gold Ore.

Gold Block: Costs 2.5 million LP. Summons a larger meteor with higher-tier resources: Stone, Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Lapis Lazuli Ore, Coal Ore, Diamond Ore, and Emerald Ore.

Diamond Block: Costs 5 million LP. Summons a small meteor very dense with high-tier resources: Diamond Ore, Emerald Ore, Redstone Ore, and Gold Ore.

No other reagents are currently implemented in Blood Magic 2.
