The Crystal Growth Accelerator is a block added by Applied Energistics 2 that uses energy to accelerate the process of crystal purification. This process (also introduced by Applied Energistics 2) transforms crystal seeds into pure versions of their fully developed counterparts. This machine can be used to produce Pure Certus Quartz Crystals, Pure Nether Quartz Crystals, and Pure Fluix Crystals. The Pure Certus Quartz Crystals are a much cheaper and efficient way to craft the 1k ME Storage Components, requiring half of the Certus Quartz (Applied Energistics) needed for the crafting recipe. Pure Certus Quartz Crystals can also be used as a cheaper substitute for most crafting recipes that require Certus Quartz (Applied Energistics). This machine can also be fully automated and linked directly into the ME Network, using nothing but Applied Energistics 2.

Note[edit]

  • Accelerators can only be powered from the top or the bottom.
  • To accelerate the growth process, crystal seeds must be placed in a water block adjacent to the accelerator. They will grow at their normal pace if they are placed in a water block at any distance greater than 1 block away from any accelerator.
  • Seeds affected by a powered accelerator will shimmer more rapidly.
  • Accelerators can only be powered by AE power, but when connected to a ME system, it will not use up a channel.
