The Apiarist Database is a hand held tool that keeps track of every Bee Species bred by the player. It will automatically add each species discovered to the database once a given species is bred successfully. A purebred bee is not needed, a single hybrid is enough to grant access to the listing, however it does have to be the result of breeding. Acquiring a bee from the wild will not add it to the Database.

The Database lists the standard traits of each species, including Speed, Lifespan, Fertility, Territory, its Tolerances, preferred flower and Effect. It also includes the species' Climate, Products and Specialties, as well as approximately how frequently the hive will generate combs/produce with a Normal speed rating.

Possibly the most useful sections are Resultant Mutations and Further Mutations, which show how the species was created and its chance of mutation, as well as more advanced species that use it in Bee Breeding. Undiscovered mutations will be greyed out, but show if the needed cross-species has been discovered or remains to be found. Undiscovered species are marked with a red question mark over the icon.
