==Usage== PLEASE FILL IN isn't very, um, wiki-ish. We have a stub template for this case and/or the article's talk page to discuss what can be added. The article itself should only contain useful information, no editing remarks and user notes. Thanks. -- OstPavel (talk • contributions) 20:02, 2 December 2014 (CET)

Please Fill In not Wiki-ish[edit]

Ok, I see where you're coming from on that point and I agree that my "Please Fill in" doesn't exactly sound professional. But you have to understand what i was trying to do: I was trying to: A) Create an easy to understand framework for missing information on the page B) Encouraging other minecraft players to contribute their knowledge by adding infoboxes and crafting grids to the page and C) Encourage users to contribute specific details about the item through a short, easy to understand prompt ( Which in the Usage section just so happened to be " Please fill in ")

Now, knowing all this, do you still think that it's not "Wiki-ish" enough? Because in my mind, these kinds of things were exactly why wikis were created in the first place.

Sorry for any trouble I have caused, DJHonore

It's not a trouble, no worries here, but yeah, my point is that a stub template is all you need for encouraging. "Wiki" basically means community-powered, if a user comes to our wiki, it means that they (some of them) are willing to contribute, be there any hints ("please fill in") or not. This is a stub on wikipedia.org - almost no information, 2 templates: Stub and Citation needed. Once again, if you think a page could have some work done, go to its respective talk page - talk pages are here for a reason. Add a "reason" for stub template, afaik it allows that. But leaving empty sections with "please fill in" is still a bit wrong. Heh, this way we will end up as a Resonant Rise wiki - they've automatically generated pages for every item and block and placed a template asking the users to contribute the rest of the information on every page. -- OstPavel (talk • contributions) 05:24, 3 December 2014 (CET)
