Each Ars Magica 2 spell must have at least one Component, one Spell Shape, and can have Spell Modifiers.

Effects[edit]

  • Accelerate -- nothing
  • Appropriation -- take a block/re-use to place it
  • Astral Distortion -- stop most form of teleportation(include player)
  • Attract -- magnet (entity)
  • Banish Rain -- stop rain
  • Blind -- blindness effect
  • Blink -- small teleportation(work through blocks)
  • Charm -- attract mobs
  • Chrono Anchor -- return to your position when casted when effect end, health & inventory restored
  • Create Water -- place a block of water
  • Dig -- dig block
  • Disarm -- drop the target held item
  • Dispel -- remove active effects
  • Divine Intervention -- tp to overworld
  • Drought -- remove water
  • Drown -- water damage
  • Ender Intervention -- tp to nether
  • Entangle -- stop entity movement
  • Fire Damage -- fire damage
  • Flight -- creative fly
  • Fling -- big jump
  • Forge -- auto-smelt
  • Freeze -- slow/freeze water
  • Frost Damage -- frost damage
  • Fury -- increase speed/strengh
  • Gravity Well -- faster fall
  • Grow -- grow plants
  • Harvest -- harvest plants
  • Haste -- increase mining speed
  • Heal -- heal target
  • Ignition -- flint & steel
  • Invisibility -- invisibility effect
  • Knockback - knockback effect
  • Leap -- jump boost
  • Levitation -- no fall
  • Life Drain -- life damage
  • Life Tap -- life damage for mana
  • Light -- create light at target
  • Lightning Damage -- lightning damage
  • Magic Damage -- Magic Damage
  • Mana Drain -- drain mana from target
  • Mark -- mark a block(use with recall)
  • Night Vision -- Night Vision effect
  • Physical Damage -- basic damage
  • Place Block -- place a block
  • Plant -- plant seed from inventory
  • Plow -- tilt dirt
  • Random Teleport -- teleport randomly
  • Recall -- teleport to marked position
  • Reflect -- reflect spell
  • Regeneration -- regeneration effect
  • Repel -- move away enemy's
  • Rift Storage -- chest
  • Shield -- reduce damage taken
  • Shrink -- make player smaller
  • Silence -- stop target from casting spells
  • Slow -- slow effect
  • Slowfall -- fall slower like chickens
  • Summon -- summon a mob(use phylactery)
  • Swift Swim -- swim faster
  • Telekinesis -- magnet (items)
  • Thunderstorm -- summon lightning
  • Transplace -- switch place with target
  • True Sight -- Magitech Goggles effect
  • Water Breathing -- breath under water
  • Watery Grave -- drown target if in water
  • Wizard's Autumn -- clear vines

Costs[edit]

When making a spell in the Crafting Altar, various items must be dropped to fuel the process. If the essence is needed, pull the lever on the Crafting Altar to drain it from the Obelisk or Battery. The first cost for any spell is a Blank Rune. The last is a Spell Parchment.
