The ME Pattern Encoder is used to write crafting recipes onto ME Blank Patterns which can then be placed into a ME Pattern Provider or ME Interface to automatically craft items on request through an ME Access Terminal.
ME Encoded Assembler Patterns can be inserted into the ME Pattern Encoder to edit an existing recipe without having to start from scratch. This also lets players use the ME Pattern Encoder to copy Patterns from a ME Encoded Assembler Pattern to new a ME Blank Pattern.
This block is NOT part of the ME Network and doesn't require any energy to run.
Valid for Minecraft 1.5.1[edit]
With version rv10.h players can store up to a full stack of Blank Patterns in the encoder, and it fully supports automation. Encoded patterns can be removed from the top or bottom, and blank patterns can be added from the side. Players can also trigger encoding by pulsing the block with redstone, making it possible to set up a pattern copying system.
