Jupiter is one of the planets added by the Extra Planets mod. On Jupiter you will find the Jupiter dungeon, in which you may fight the fire bat boss to gain access to the tier 5 rocket schematic. On Jupiter you may also find nickel and palladium ore, the latter of which is required to build the tier 5 rocket.

Structures

You can find Villages on Jupiters and at least two other structures. One is a huge rocket mostly made of Aluminum and Tin blocks. In its top there is a trapped chest with TNT above AND below it. The second structure is a red walled hideout, containing a few beds, chests and furnaces.

Strategy

Jupiter is highly irradiated, meaning you won't be able to spend much time on the surface. Therefore, it is highly recommended to build a small pressurized base to escape from the radiation. All this base really needs is enough leaves to provide oxygen for the oxygen collectors and sealers, a power source for them, and a cryo chamber or decontamination unit to help remove the radiation you accumulate when you venture outside.

Due to the radiation, you won't be able to remain outside long enough to conventionally mine the significant amount of palladium you'll need to construct the tier 5 rocket. Therefore, it is recommended that you make your base around Y level 40 and set one or more astro-miners into your base's walls so you can access their inventory from the safety of your pressurized enclosure.

Dungeon hunting on Jupiter is made especially difficult by the seas of liquid magma that cover much of the surface, obscuring many dungeon entrances from view. Therefore, you're likely to have to travel quite far in order to find a dungeon entrance on land accessible to you. If you don't have the ability to stay outside long enough to find a dungeon without hitting max radiation, golden apples or potions of regeneration are a great alternative, as the regeneration will out-heal the radiation damage.
